FROM THE OFFICE:
Grade 10 Students – It’s not too late!!! Please bring your Camp Edphy permission slips to the office as soon as possible- We have extended the deadline to Thursday! Room sign-up takes place again TODAY and Tomorrow at lunch outside the Bison Lounge. If you have any questions see Mr. Smith in the office.
Please note the following:
- Wired headphones are permitted in class with teacher’s permission. They should not be worn in the hallways but rather carried in a pencil case or pocket. At recess and lunch they are only permitted where laptops are found, which is in library and open classrooms.
- Ipods are permitted in class with teacher’s permission. They should not be used to listen to music in the hallways but rather carried in a pencil case or pocket. At recess and lunch they are permitted where laptops are found which is in the library and open classrooms.
- Do you have an Ipad instead of a laptop? See your grade level administrator.
STUDENT LIFE:
- There is a student life meeting today, during both lunches, in B303. New members welcome.
Yearbook: There is our first yearbook meeting on Friday during Cycle 2 lunch in B303. Anyone in Grades 9-11 is welcome to join. If you want to know more information, come to the meeting.
LIBRARY:
- Sign-up for Battle of the Books has started! If you want to sign up, or want to know what Battle of the Books is, come and see the Librarian at lunch! Open to Cycle 1 and 2 students.
- There are a number of student projects left in the Library. If you had a project on display last year, please come and get it in the Library before October 3rd, or it will be discarded.

GMAA:
GMAA Sign ups: Soccer, volleyball & boys flag football are posted outside the A-gym. Sign up as soon as possible, and don’t forget to double check your birthdate.
Golf: Attention golfers, if you are interested in playing in either the competitive tournament or the best ball please see Mr McCurdy by THIS FRIDAY.
Cadet & Juvenile boys Soccer: Tryouts are taking place today after school at City Lane 2.
Bantam Girls Soccer: Attention all grade 7 & 8 girls. Soccer tryouts will be taking place this Thursday, Sept 4th at 3:45pm on the back field, bring your gear. Sign up is outside A-Gym, see Ms J if you have any questions.
Cross country; We will meet Thursday after school in the front entrance at 3:45 pm. Be dressed to run. All grades are welcome. Please see Mr CT or Ms Murray if you have any questions
Cadet Girls Volleyball: Tryouts are Today after school in the F gym.
Bantam Boys Flag Football: Tryouts will be Monday Sept. 8 and Wednesday Sept. 10 at 3:45pm on the back field. Sign-up outside the A Gym.
Bantam and Cadet Boys Volleyball: Tryouts will take place tomorrow morning at 7:45 in the F-Gym. Please sign up outside the A gym and see Ms Sarlos or Ms Kralt if you have any questions.
Bantam Girls’ Volleyball: Tryouts continue on Thursday September 11th at 7:45am in the F-Gym. Please check the callback list posted outside the A-Gym. A huge THANK YOU to all who tried out! You were truly all amazing and the decision was really hard, keep it up!
Girls Softball: Tryouts have been postponed to NEXT Thursday, September 18 from 4:00-5:15 at Christmas Park Elementary. Bring your own glove, cleats and bat (if you have one).
ACTIVITIES:
BHS Improv: Auditions for the new teams this year will be after school TODAY in the Auditorium. Sign up outside the Drama room, and talk to Mr. Pinsky, Ms. Crowhurst or Ms. Bates with any questions. No experience needed, just some “Yes Let’s” energy!
BHS CRESCENDO tryouts for our nationally ranked show choir will be held after school on Thursday, Sept 18 in the Auditorium. Sign up sheet will be posted outside B111. If you like to sing and dance..this is the team for you! See Ms Howe with any questions.
