 This department is the “scene” of imagination and creativity. Students in all grades learn how to write, perform, and technically stage original stories in various theatrical styles. Along the way, students will learn leadership and teamwork skills, organization and independence, growing their confidence every day. 

Highlights within the department include:

  • BHS Drama Studio at the grade 10-11 levels, specializing in world theatre styles and major stage productions;
  • BHS Improv Teams (junior and senior), which performs multiple shows and competitions in school and around the Montreal region;
  • Field trips to John Abbott College Professional Theatre performances;
  • Annual weekend trip to the Stratford Theatre Festival;
  • And MUCH more!

BHS Drama presents: SCHOOL PICTURE DAY - A VIRTUAL PLAY

Featuring students from grades 9-10-11 and directed by Mr. Pinsky, this one-act play was rehearsed and performed safely during a pandemic, all on Zoom! Watch what happens when some weird and wacky teens have to get their picture taken by an evil photographer who has plans for world domination!
